Grandma Dot's Easter Jello

This post is for all of my sisters! I remember calling Grandma for this recipe and was so happy to find it today. It would be fun if we all made it in honor of Grandma. I can still see it on her table. I love that Grandma mastered the art of cooking and baking. She took pride in all areas of homemaking! She told me over and over again how when she came to the states she didn't know how to boil water! Happy Easter!

Grandma's Orange Jello
8oz. can crushed pineapple, do not drain
2 cups boiling water
1 large package orange Jello
1 and 3/4 cups thawed cool whip
11 oz. can mandarin oranges
1 and 1/2 cups mini pastel marshmallows

Drain pineapple, reserve liquid. Add enough water to measure 1 cup. Take boiling water and dissolve jello. This will take 2 minutes. Stir in pineapple juice and water. Refrigerate for 1 1/4 hours or until thickened. Stir in cool whip with wire whisk until smooth. Refrigerate 10 minutes then stir in oranges, pineapple, and marshmallows. Spoon into greases mold. Refrigerate 4 hours. Unmold when ready to serve.

Thanks for the Spanish Rice recipe! It was a total hit. And now you've given me another yummy one to try. I'll have to give you the salsa recipe my sister-in-law gave me. It is the best I have ever tasted!
