Keeping Them Little

I've tried to keep my girls little girls. We avoid some of the Disney Channel shows like Hannah Montana. I was letting them watch it and Emma started acting like a little Diva. I figure we've got lots of years ahead of the tween and teen stages. The other morning I heard Emma belting out the Handy Manny Theme song. I had to laugh. I hope she doesn't bust that one out at school. She might be a little strange...

Alright, I feel the same way about Emily. She has plenty of years ahead of her to get into the whole Hannah Montana and anyone else like her that becomes a craze! Emily sings the Super Why song at our house...I love your post of Dinseyland. Your girls looked like they were just loving it. Especially Grace on Winnie the Pooh. I'm sure they get some of their enthusiasm from you. Also, what a beautiful yard your Great Aunt has. I bet your girls love visiting!

I know the feeling. I get so nervous letting my kids watch tv. I hate when a preview for the news comes on and then my kids will say "what happened". I hate that they are influenced by their peers at such a young age too.

Our kids have been watching things like Cosby show and Saved by the Bell and Brady Bunch and Little House on the Prairie. SO they are definitely weir to their classmates, but their teachers get them.

P & Qrecently discovered "The Brady Bunch" and love it. They think it's neat that it was my favorite show as a little girl.
