In a Slump

It has been a hard couple of days. As you can see, Grace is up to more of her little tricks. (note the hair cut job) She got into my makeup while she was supposed to be napping on my bed. Crissy took her diaper off in her crib and peed everywhere. It was not a very productive week. It felt like I just went in circles. I am not in control here! SO before I headed to Target to do unnecessary damage I happened to read my sister Deann's blog and she was talking about beginning a new routine with her kids now that school has started. She even had this picture posted of Goldie Hawn from Overboard. SOOOO funny but sad that this is really me every night.

But no more! Like Deann I am going to get my kids on a better routine and to bed earlier! This will give me more energy to deal with Grace's antics and some peace and quiet each night. I am also going to come up with an actual cleaning schedule for me to follow. I am excited to make these changes. Thanks Deann!

oh my word I can't believe what a little trouble maker grace is! LOL I love the picture! Carissa took off her diaper? so funny, I caught Elisabeth doing that only once. let me know how the early to bed thing goes. I think Hannah's a hopeless case when it comes to sleeping.

lol p.s. I just noticed her hair sticking up from where she cut it! Its so funny that she looks like a little pixie and she acts like one too!

WHATEVER JACKIE! It's payback time! You reep what you sow! lol I was cracking up at that picture of Goldie because I can just picture you like a zombie at night and Jason snapping to get your attention! LOL LOL LOL What a little booger Grace is! But HELLOO your the one who left her unattended on your bed! lol What happened to locking them in their rooms at nap time and throw away the key! lol I know I'm so mean huh

I'm going to have Jason turn the lock around on her door and I will have to nap Crissy in the pack n play in my room. We had to turn the lock on Emma's door when she was two and I felt so mean. It was the only way to get her to stay in her room to nap!

Jackie this is so funny. At first I thought Grace had a black eye. That pic of Goldie is exactly how I feel at night. I hate dinner time, bath time and bed time. It is EXHAUSTING!!!! You can try putting child proof handles on the inside of Grace's door that way she can't open it. I had to do that on Nolan's door and my scrapbooking room so Crew couldn't come in. Your not mean. that's just life. You don't have eyes in the back of your head & it's impossible to watch all 4 of them all the time!

I don't have faith in the child proof handles anymore! I tried those with Emma and she got them off. I had put her in her room for a time out and I was out in front of the house talking with my neighbors. I could hear her going nuts screaming in her room and a few minutes later the garage door started going up. I looked down the street becuase I thought Jason was home early and nope, it was Emma, on top of the shoe shelf in the garage!

We should start a "child wise" online support group! Maybe it will be easier if we have people to check in with and share ideas. It really, really makes days easier I think. When you put in set aside time for 100% attention to your kids, you'll feel less guilty making time just for you, and your kids will feel satisfied and play better on their own.

Send me your schedule! I'll send you mine.

I laughed hysterically at the picture of goldie. Oh my gosh can I relate. I am pretty sure that is what I look like every night. It was so funny. I loved the picture of grace. All I could think of was " oh my gosh, flash forward 8-10 years". I left the rest of the picture out, it's not pretty. Dont worry, I'm sure I will be there for moral support if I'm not 6 feet under myself. Ha Ha Ha.
