A week of Firsts!!

Grace has had two dry days and this morning she woke up dry!! I owe my potty training success to my friend Rachel who gave me a great idea that worked wonders with my little Grace who walks to the beat of her own drum. You would think after potty training two previous children that this would be a no brainer but I wasn't having much success. So, this is what worked. T.V. and lots of popsicles!! Grace embraced the whole idea and WA LA she is on her way! I have even taken her on two errand trips a couple of hours each in panties. My days of changing two little bums are over!! Thanks for the great idea Rachel!! And by the way, Grace is so pleased with herself. She yells "Whoo hoo" and "yeah me" everytime she goes!

Grace with her potty chart.....and one of her many, many popsicles!

And last but not least...Little Miss Emma with her first pair of glasses!! Doesn't she look so smart and sassy? She was so excited to wear them to school she was up and dressed all on her own this morning.

EMMA, I love your glasses! You look so cute. I didn't even know you were going to get them. I started wearing glasses when I was in 2nd grade. You are lucky because everyone wants to wear the glasses like yours! I can't wait to see them in person. You're so cute. I loved your phone call last night. I love you. Grandma T

Hi Gracie! I'm so proud of you for going potty all by yourself. WOW! Grandma will have to take you to McDonalds to celebrate when we come up again....but you can't go on the big toy because grandma can't go all the way to the top to get you down if you get scared like last time. Now that you are potty trained maybe you will be brave and not get scared anymore. Maybe we can just have an ice cream cone and go to the park. OK?
I love you. Grandma T.

Emma looks totally different! How studious too. I like the glasses she picked out. Pretty Emma! Hats off to Grace or should I say Diapers off! Whoopieeeeee! Congrats. Grace has hit a milestone. Did you take her to get some cute panties? They sure don't make the cute little ruffle ones I always let you girls wear when you were potty trained! Happy days are here again......

Hey Jackie, popcicles are a great idea. We have been working with Crew on the potty since Jan 1. Some days are so great and other days he will pee his pants 3 or 4 times. He was doing so well at my mom's house! :( I will have to try popcycles! He loves those!

It sounds a little like potty training in less than a day. I did that with all my kids and it worked like a charm. What a great milestone. Love the glasses. Now she can be twins with Elizabeth. She looks so cute. Very smart. Love you guys.

Emma loves to read and those glasses go right along with her hobby. Those glasses look really cute on her and way stylish!

Jackie, Congrats to you for sticking with the potty training and glad you didn't have to resort to spanking. LOL! They are ready when they are ready and it doesn't hurt to bribe. My boys liked jelly beans and coins saved up to buy a toy.
